Hand Garners NSCAA All-New England for 2nd consecutive year!
WATERVILLE, ME – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has announced its 2013 Continental Tire NCAA Division III Men's All-New England North Region honors and Thomas College senior Michael Hand has been selected.
Hand earns this illustrious honor after leading the Terriers with 13 goals and 32 points on the way to the squads second consecutive North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship.
Along with being named to the NSCAA All-New England Second Team, Hand was selected to the NAC First Team for the third time in his career, and also garnered tourney MVP this fall.
This is the second NSCAA award for Hand in his collegiate career, being chosen to the 2012 NSCAA All-America Team last winter.
Thomas Trio to Play in NEISL All Senior All Star Game
WATERVILLE, ME – Thomas men's soccer seniors Mikkail Crockwell, Michael Hand, and Paul Rechichi have been selected to play in the 2013 New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) Division III Senior All-Star Game on Sunday, December 1 at Harvard University.
Crockwell earned his third North Atlantic Conference (NAC) All-Conference selection this past season, sporting a 1.27 goals against average on the season, while recording four shutouts.
Hand led the Terriers with 13 goals and 32 points in his final season. The three time NAC First Team honoree also was tabbed the conference tournament MVP this fall.
Rechichi continued to be a force in the center midfield position his senior season, recording a career-high six goals and 14 points, while starting in all 21 matches for the Terriers.
The three seniors helped record an overall record of 48-24-5, three NCAA Tournament berths, and three NAC Championships.
