We just finished up with our team and sport awards banquets this week and we’re excited to announce that Senior Eric Hallman was awarded the Stagg Medal! Eric is the first swimmer or diver to win the award since Kris Alden in 1991. Named in honor of Amos Alonzo Stagg, the Stagg Medal has been presented annually since 1947 to the senior male athlete with the best all-around record for athletics, scholarship, and character.

Most Improved – Cara LoPiano (Fr) & Thomas Meek

At the end of the 2014 NCAA DIII Swimming & Diving Championships, we had 53 All-Americans, a 200 Butterfly National Champion and the best finish in the history of our program, 10th for our Men & Women! Our Men's & Women's team received 2013 Fall CSCAA Scholar All-America honors! Our Men's team GPA was 3.41 and our Women's team GPA was 3.42! GO MAROONS!

It’s official, 20 Maroon swimmers and two divers have qualified for the NCAA Championships! Sending 22 student-athletes (13 men, 9 women) to Nationals is the most in program history, eclipsing the previous high of 14 (9 men, 5 women) set last season.

The competition will take place March 19-22 at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis, IN. Check out the forthcoming press release and follow the NCAA results on our athletics website! (athletics.uchicago.edu)

Our split-team UAA Championship was a huge success! Shout outs to Junior Matt Staab (pictured) on winning UAA Men's Diver of the Year for the second year straight and to our AMAZING coaching staff (Head Coach Jason Weber and Assistants Krista Carlson and Nick Daly) on winning Men's Coaching Staff of the Year!
