Rose-Hulman Gets All-Time Best Score to Top National Undergraduate Engineering Rankings! This marks the 14th consecutive year that Rose-Hulman has been rated first among colleges that offer the bachelor's or master's degree as its top degree in engineering.
2011-2012 Rose-Hulman Swimming & Diving Team
The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's and women's swimming and diving teams earned All-Academic honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America, in results released today. In addition, junior Matt Ross (West Lafayette/Harrison) was cited as a Scholar All-American by the CSCAA for his efforts in the classroom in the pool. Ross earned honors for carrying a 3.78 grade point average and provisionally qualifying for the 2012 NCAA Division III National Championships.

The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology swimming team recorded six school records, two individual conference titles, two NCAA provisional national qualification marks and five all-conference performances in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championships.

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology finished third in men's swimming and diving, and placed seventh on the women's side at the 65th College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championships at Wheaton College.
The effort included three school records, three all-conference swimmers, two conference champions and one NCAA Division III Provisional performance.

Rose-Hulman Grads Earn Among Top 10 Salaries
A Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology degree opens a variety of career opportunities in engineering, science and mathematics. It also produces big bucks for its graduates, according to the PayScale 2011 College Salary Report.
The median starting salary of Rose-Hulman graduates ($60,700) ranks ninth in PayScale's annual survey of best salaries for new college graduates.
Some highlights from the 2011 report include:
Rose-Hulman (No. 9) joins Colorado School of Mines (No. 6) and Missouri University of Science and Technology (No. 15) as the only schools outside California and the northeast in the top 20 of the starting salary list.
Rose-Hulman ranks No. 1 among Midwest colleges for starting salary and No. 6 for mid-career median salary ($95,800).
Engineering and science fields dominate the list of undergraduate college degrees earning the best salaries. Lucrative career fields, according to the salary survey, are petroleum engineering ($155,000 mid-career salary), chemical engineering ($109,000), electrical engineering ($103,000), materials science and engineering ($103,000), aerospace engineering ($102,000), computer engineering ($101,000), physics ($101,000), applied mathematics ($98,000), nuclear engineering ($97,800) and biomedical engineering ($97,800).

The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's and women's swimming and diving teams earned All-Academic honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America, in results released 7/21/11
The men's swimming and diving team combined for a 3.15 team grade point average to rank 39th nationally in NCAA Division III. The Fightin' Engineers were also the highest ranked team in terms of grade point average in Indiana.
The women's squad also received All-Academic recognition after combining for a 3.10 grade point average.
