Mike Getman Soccer Camp

Overnight Sessions for all levels of players. Many college coaches from all levels of play.

Winter Elite College ID Camp

Our Winter Elite ID Camp is designed to expose serious soccer players to college coaches while at the same time, helping to develop their game. Coaches from all levels of College Soccer join our Coaching Staff. Year after year, our campers are recruited into the college ranks. Both weekend camps will focus on attacking skills and tactics to give you and your team the edge. All players are expected to be in good shape and prepared for a vigorous weekend of activity. This is a high-intensity training environment. Our most advanced campers will spend much of their time playing with and against our current and former college players. There is no better way to test your skills against the best. If you are thinking about playing in college, this camp will help you see your strengths and weaknesses. Many of the current UAB players attended our Winter ID Camp when they were in high school. The schedule at these camps also includes a college talk, a question and answer sessions where you can find out about the recruiting process; how to get a spot playing college soccer. Enrollment is very limited, allowing for individual attention from the college coaches and campers are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. The coaching staff will be on hand after each session to answer questions one-on-one. These camps are for both field players and goalkeepers.

Residential I Camp at Birmingham, AL

Dedicated to the individual development of aspiring soccer players, the Mike Getman Soccer Camp provides an enhanced learning environment. To play your best, you must have the technical ability to control the ball, the tactical ability to make the right decisions and the composure and confidence to excel. Our camps are carefully structured to provide you with training in all three areas. Skill training, small and large group tactics, and 11 v 11 games provide the opportunity to improve every aspect of your game. Through a variety of training opportunities, the Mike Getman Soccer Camps are able to provide a challenging learning experience for all levels. Our coaches and players, some of the best in the country, are eager to share their knowledge and skills. Afternoon and evening games will be highly competitive. The training program includes training by position as well as skill and tactical sessions. These are great camps for developing your game while challenging yourself against other campers. Older campers who attend Residential Camp, will train with College Coaches using the same practice plans that are used with their college teams. During staff games they will have the opportunity to play against current and former college players. Campers should have a solid fitness base so they will be able to participate in all camp activities. Older campers will also attend a special classroom session to help orient players to the college recruiting process. Many current UAB players were campers in past years. Younger campers will work with experienced coaches as well as some of the UAB players. Working with some of the best players in the country is a very motivational experience while also allowing campers to see what they are trying to achieve.
